Anyone else have a 20 day menstrual cycle?!.. Slightly concerned.

Hi,

Always used to have a 32-34 day cycle before having my dd 9 years ago, but after that I started to fall into the "typical" 28 day cycle. However, over the past few months, I'm noticing they're getting closer and closer together. My last period was (I think) the 20th Jan, but I started again last night!

I've always had issues in 'that area', ie cervical cysts, mid cycle bleeding etc, but I've never had this before. I'm 31 and I have been very stressed out recently, but then I've always been a stresser and this hasn't happened before, as I say. I'm up to date with my smears, but I can't help worrying, because this just isn't me iyswim.

Can anyone else relate? Becoming quite worried about it all.

If you were my age I would have said starting into menopause.

I had 28 day cycle from being 12-47. This last 3or 4 months though it'a been 20-21 days. And significantly lighter bleeding.

I'd go and see the GP and see what they say.

Have you had anything happen to alter your cycle? I was always 32 days and then had a small op, less than an hour under general and it's been every 26-28 days ever since! Go to gp if you are concerned though

Wondering how old you are.

Peri-menopause is my first thought. I had heavier/closer periods throughout my 40s, eventually stopping completely at 46.

Durr...just seen you're 31. Probably too early.
