hi, i've had a cold and now i'm getting a coldsore. my dd1 is 15 weeks, but someone told me that the herpes simplex virus can kill a baby that young if they catch it. I'm terrified as i've been kissing her loads and can't see how i can prevent it. does anyone have any info?

I cannot see how that would be likely. Loads of people have herpes simplex, loads of babies get kissed - you would think it would add up to high infant mortality, but it doesn't.
