Blimming gastric thing - anyone else had it for so long? Or what else could it be?

I had a 5 day bout of terrible nausea about 4 weeks ago, then a week ago it started again. Have been feeling really sick on and off for a week. It feels like morning sickness but defo isn't (have tested!)

It comes and goes a bit, I am also very wiped out and sleeping a lot

I have had some kidney probs this year (nothing sinister just infections, have had all organs scanned and they are all fine) and have been on antibiotics for months, I thought it could be a reaction to this but the GP said if it was going to happen it would have done it earlier (not my usual GP and I don't always trust them!) I am taking a probiotic too.

Several people have said that there is a gastric bug going around which recurs, however I am just concerned that it is going on for SO long...

Anyone?

Yes, currently on day 8, have been vomiting on and off all this time plus had the runs (can't spell the proper word) totally wiped out over christmas but starting to feel better today.

I have had a nauseas feeling which comes and goes and wondered if i had picked up some kind of bug. having said that, i started taking citalopram for anxiety and have been feeling nauseas since taking it. it does feel like morning sickness in pregnancy.i am deffo not pregnant though. DH had snip.. i really dont know if it is a bug or a side effect of the medication.

Hello!

Am only here cos I am in bed with a horrible tummy bug - both ends. But I think mine was caused by food.

My judgement is: test again and stay away from the stilton!

Poor you! Nausea is just awful, I'd rather be throwing up.

My friend's dh has this at the mo. Started with the runs for a few days, seemed to get better for a couple of weeks now he's totally wiped out and has phases of terrible griping pains which he says must be like colic. It just seems to linger on.
