Lump and Vit K Jab

Hello, my dd has a lump on the nape of her neck. At birth where does the Vitamin K jab get injected? i find the lump odd as there is a red (really small) puncture wound ust where you can feel the lump.

My dd is 6 and a half months.

DD3 had hers in the thigh.

I am 99.9% sure that it would never be the neck as there is no muscle there to inject into.

DS was definitely not injected in the neck. Sounds more like an insect bite to me.

Can't see how it would be related to the vit.k injection. It wouldn't have taken 6 and a half months to appear. Mine have always had it into a thigh as I remember. Agree that it sounds more like an insect bite.

Thanks for that. I thought it would have been unusual in the neck, as i had a c section i never saw where it was injected. I just find it odd as that mark and lump has been there for quite a while. Thanks for the comments.
