She's been complaining of a tummy ache around her navel since yesterday but only periodically. Dh noticed she was v. warm so have just taken temp. Feeling a bit panicky... should I call doc or not?

I'd call. It cant hurt anything and it will either sort her out or put your mind at rest or both.

I'd call, esp at this time of year.

I had to call ambulance once for ds asI was on my own and scared about mennigitis and I spent so long apologising to the ambulance man in case I was wasting his time - he said always contact medical services if you are not sure - timewasting is a myth.

btw not suggesting you need to call ambulance, but if she is still the same tomorrow I would hunt down the out of ours dcotor.

there are lots of tummy bugs around, Fruitcake, though dd and ds didn't have temp with their two recent bugs...

how is she in herself? unwell apart from tummy ache?

I did call the "médecin de garde" & she made me feel so much better; told me not to panic, said if dd had peritonitis that she would be in severe pain, etc. So I watched over dd, took her temp every so often & she was fine! Apart from anything else I really didn't want to be spending Xmas in triage, although I would have done it of course!
