Does anybody know whether swimmers ear can build up over the years .I have pretty moderate swimmers ear, although I only started to suffer in my 20s. I do not want my 8yr old DD to get swimmers ear.Iam contemplating her doing more swimming training and I would take her out ,if she was prone to ear infections.I do not want her getting to adulthood and suffering like me. Does anyone know if it lays dormant and then you can suffer as an adult?

I don't know if it can build up or not .

I swim 3 x a week & after an ear infection was advised by my GP to use ear plugs when swimming. I've been doing so now for at leas 18 months & have had no ear problems since.

Try Brulidine cream for swimmers ear. I was on px ear drops for 10 years before finding this cream. Says on packet - for outer ear infections - antiseptic - active in blood and puss. TCP dialuted with water is my go to preventative niggly ear - strong at half water and half TCP. Be carefull - to strong - will burn.
