I've been using Benadryl on dd's. Lacto-calamine is good as well. Calamine is too drying, and will make them itch even more when it dries out.

Oatmeal baths are helping too; stick some oatmeal (porridge oats are fine!) into the toe of a pair of tights or a stocking, tie it up and squidge it about in the bath. Very soothing. Or put some bicarb into the bath if you haven't got any oats.

Oh, and I've been giving her Piriton syrup as well - anti-histamine can help the itchiness.

We've done the bicarb bath thing. Its lacto-calamine too.

I'll try the oatmeal thing later. Good tip!

Make up a paste with bicarb of soda and put it on like sudocreme, also use some oats in the bath. don't use calamine as it dries up and itches as it dries.

If you have any witch hazel, you can sploosh some onto a tissue and let her pat the spots herself - it's nice and gentle so she should be OK to use that on her fanjo as well.
