Hi there,My daughter bee n poorly for 4 weeks. I just want to know I'm not the only one going insane with tiredness, disrupted nights.
She had a few sessions at primary schol, ans my theory is she has picked up all the bugs and had them one by one.
Just as one cold and cough goes, another begins.
We have had all manner of cough type, I dont even bother with cough syrups anymore.

Been to the gp 3 times, no infection, no wheezing. Have been giving her her old inhaler recently, cos the gp said it was worth a try, seeing as she has cough probs when she was about 1, which lasted about a year. Every night she would cough. TBH I dont recall the inhalers working back then either.
Anyhow, she has had a croupy cough too, and for anyone else inthe same boat, i read that this happens cos their pipes just are so narrow, they cant cope. Um now not too sure what the meaning of this post is, but any comments would be welcomed. Its tough cos I am a single mum, and have only my own judgement to rely on, so input and exp very much appreciated!!

See you,

x

awww your poor dd

ds2 who's 6 has had a cough for the same length of time. Luckily it isn't disrupting his sleep and it's easing off. Same thing though, not infection etc... he won't take anything, not even calpol.

Have you tried a drop of olbas oil on a tissue under her pillow? The chest rub is good too, put on after a warm bath. boiling a kettle in the bathroom helps too as the steam loosens phlegm.
