Hiya
Hope someone can help. I think I have eye infection, mostly in right but in left eye slightly too. But there is no 'gunk' just the outer corner is sore, red and raw. Is this an eye infection? Don't think I have cut it.

Could I get something over the counter for it? I have been using cooled boiled water to try and help it with little effect. It is going to be a nightmare to try and get to see a doctor so close to Christmas..... Please please please help - I don't want to look squinty eyed for the entire Christmas!!

Ask in your pharmacy, they usually have over the counter eye drops.

I'm prone to eye infections due to having dry eyes and contact lenses.

Yes you can now buy over the counter antibiotic eye drops from your chemist.

You can get Optrex Infected Eye drops over the counter ... I think that these are the same as the dr prescribes.

Many thanks - didn't realise that you could get over counter. Off to pharmacy now!

Happy Christmas!
