I would like to go back on the Pill (hopefully Mercilon) when i finish bf my dd who is now 4 months. have made an appt to see my GP after Christmas but does anyone know if you have to wait until your periods come back before you can take it and it is effective?
I am hoping to 'transfer' dd to formula gradually over the next month so will be finished bf by about the end of Jan.

I don't know sorry. I've just started taking one, but it's for during breastfeeding. I don't think you have to wait for your period, but i'm not an expert.
