Ringing NHS direct as you type will let you all know.
Was just asking advice as he seems genraly ok.

Sorry.

Just read that back. I didn't mean to sound stroppy, but any child with a history of asthma and blue lips should see a doctor today.

They want me to wake ds and are putting me through to a doctor to do an over the phone assesment and take it from there.

Good luck chlochlo

I do not want to worry you unduly but my ds went downhill so fast, and he is only mildly asthmatic. The first night in hospital there were at least two docs with him all the time trying lots of things to stabilise his breathing - he had to have three doses of steriods (very unusual) before he slowly turned the corner.

Please do as NHS Direct say and if necessary get him seen by a doc ASAP.

Sorry again!

Just realised your name isn't chocolo!

Hope DS is OK. Please be as honest as possible with the doc. I know going to hospital now is a nightmare, but they wouldn't send you without good reason.

Any news?

Kidstrak · 20/12/2006 22:23

morning. was advised to go and see doctor got there and doctor couldn't find anything major said his temp was a bit low but it was bloody freezing last night. His chest was a bit rattly and said it could possibly be early bronchalitis(sp) and to either go to a&e if it happened again last night or to my own gp today if i'm not happy.
Thanks for all your advice it really helps to have other peoples views.
Think i'm going to see doctor this morning cos i'm still not 100% happy.

glad to hear you got him checked, and you are also right to have a second opinion

chlochlo · 21/12/2006 20:16

Gp thinks its more viral but wants to see us tommorrow just incase but ds seems ok no better or no worse so we will have to wait and see.
