Verruca removal

DH had 3 verrucas removed by our GP yesterday. He can hardly walk today, and has a huge blister over the base of his foot. It is very painful (or he's a total wimp!!) Grin

Should this be expected?

Any suggestions on how to get his shoes on for a meeting tomorrow would be welcomed!

He had one removed from the other foot, and that isn't hurting at all.

How did he have it removed? Cut out, cryotherapy, needling?
Bigger shoes and pad around the blisters until he's more comfortable.

Sprayed with liquid nitrogen - might have got the chemical wrong! Grin He did say that it was a bit easier this morning, but his whole foot was swollen yesterday. Think he might have perservered with Bazooka if he'd have realised how painful it would be!

Ok, so he may have resolved his verrucas. Certainly no guarantee. The advice above still holds. Daily saline footbaths for 5 minutes can ease things too.
They're pesky little blighters. Current research is leaning towards needling now, not something a GP can do but a podiatrist can - privately. Nothing's 100% effective though.

We used Baruch plasters - they have a dot of poison and then a sting plaster - gone in a week - don't see them about very often

its pretty violent and I wouldn't let anyone near me to do that. People have this big thing about them - they are only inverted warts - but boost your immune system and keep filing and they do go eventually

Nevr heard of Baruch Plasters though

Thank you all. Smile Will try the saline footbath - wasn't sure whether that would help or hinder.

And if they do come back, we'll look for the Baruch plasters - I't not heard of them either.

They were starting to hurt RB68, so he had to do something.

Also never heard of Baruch plasters. Unless you mean verruca plasters, containing salicylic acid?

IMO pain is a good reason to treat.
