Hi everyone,
I have a dd who will be 6 at the end of march next year.
The other day she said she had something hard stuck in her mouth and she couldn?t take it out.
When I looked at it I saw it was the new tooth coming. It is exactly at the behind one of front bottom teeth. The bottom old tooth is not moving yet, only a bit bend to one side.
What will happen?
-will the new one push the old one out?
I am thinking of taking her to dentist tomorrow, I was thinking doing it before but I thought the dentist wouldn?t take out the teeth of such a young child, but I just received a comment from someone that it would be better if the old tooth is taken out then there will be space for the new one coming.
So I panicked a bit.
I would be happy to hear if you had such an experience.
Thanks very much for reading this and for your further comments.

yes, this happened with my DD - our dentist said they would be very reluctant to remove a baby tooth (however I know some do).

In our case, the baby tooth was forced out eventually and the new one grew straight.

It is quite common, nothing to worry about. Most of the time the baby tooth is lost (a bit later than usual). Occasional it doesn'tand then the dentist will have to remove it under local anaesthetic. Once the old tooth is gone the new one will drift into the correct place. It really isn't anything to worry about.

Very common. All bar the latest of ds' teeth (his upper canine) have done the same so far and they displaced then moved to fill the gap.

This happened to DD's two bottom front teeth -for months she had two rows of teeth (like a shark ).

I posted on here in a panic but was reassured.

Now the two baby teeth have come out and the adult ones are moving forwards to fill the gap really quickly.

It happened with my dd too. Her front teeth were almost fully grown and she had two sets, like a shark, but then they wobbled and fell out and she has lovely new teeth.
