quite low down, above the pubic bone area. any ideas? could this be a child 'migraine' over stress manifesting tummy aches?

I'm always suspicious of tummy aches
Whenever my dd has one (she is 7) I always think that it's either an emotional problem or she needs to go to the toilet!
Maybe I'm too cynical

thats was my initial reaction but these have been happening for well over a week, she is pooing ok, and its aq low down pain rather than the usual bellybutton ache lol.

GP's tonight, i bet he says its emotional.

Good luck, worth getting checked out anyway

oops, she is constipated. so now have lactolose, 10mls morning and night for 2 weeks, then lowering the dose. dd1 is not impressed.

Oh well at least it's a fairly straightforward solution
Lots of apple juice and brown bread!

Mine suffered from this so much that I took her to the GP (she is 5 and a half). Mainly as a "threat" to see if DD1 would back down and admit that they were made up. When I mentioned the doctor, she immediately wanted to go so I took her.
She had a mild cold that had gone on for a little while, didn?t connect the two things. Apparently, there are a lot of glands around the tummy button area and also a bit below where you are talking. When young children get certain viral cold like infections, just like your glands can become sore in your neck etc, children often get tummy ache in this area, can be quite sensitive to the touch. Often seems worse at night or when lying down.
She was given a muscular relaxant thing for the gut and it really worked a treat. Just a thought
