Does anyhone know if I can have my tonsils out when I have a cold - this is the 3rd appoinment I have had and I really do want to have it done this time - DH is off of work and the kids are being looked after and if I have it done before Xmas I only lose 1 day's pay - so I really don't want to have to go through setting everything up again???

Its not a big cold - a little one - achey, runny nose and had a sore throat until I hydrogen Peroxided it this morning!!

dd had hers done in Sept. I was told that they only wouldn't do it if she was running a fever.

She also had a bit of a cough at the time (i got anti-b's to cover it 3 days prev). I would guess that you would be ok...they were very keen to get dd's removed though..so maybe it depends on who's doing it.

Excellent - thank you - I don't have a fever but feel really shitty!!

Just don't want to go through the organising time off work for me and DH and someone to look after the kids again - or chancing getting tonsilitus as I can't take anti-biotics!!
