How long is your 'cycle' supposed to be?

I've just read the thread about a 23 day cycle on the conception board and had a panic. Is 23 days a really short length for a cycle then? Recently I've had cycles ranging from 20 days to 28 days. Is this something to worry about? What's the significance of a short cycle / long cycle. Should my cycles be more equal in length?

calm down, i have stupidly reg cycles and after ttc for 6 years had ds. my sil is 30-45 days and both times she decided to ttc she fell pg straight away found this for you tho good luck

I think the 'ideal' cycle length is supposed to be 28 days long.

Mine are 21 and 35 days alternate months. I have been TTC for the last three months. Here's hoping it doesn't make a difference

Thank you, I hate this time, i'm not even ttc yet, it's just on the cards for some time in 2007 - because I'm thinking about it I'm worrying myself. My last period was also hugely crampy and painful so I think I'm convincing myself I have early onset menopause or something. I'll just stop thinking......

if you're really worried see your gp, they prob won't do anything just yet but it can't hurt

Yes, I suppose you're right, I hate the thought that something might be wrong but I guess I need to know if it is.

Mine is 34 days too - good when having periods as have less - bad when trying to conceive as very frustrating!

I think 23 days is a problem if you're ttc (too short a time for an embryo to implant), not a big deal otherwise.
