endometrial hyperplasia

Today I've been diagnosed with endometrial hyperplasia and the gynaecologist said she was very concerned for me. She has booked me in for an emergency hysteroscopy and explained that she wants to rule out anything serious.

I'm quite worried as she says the hysteroscopy is quite painful and endometrial hyperplasia. Has anyone been through this or has any advice for me?

Sorry I was meant to say endometrial hyperplasia can be cancerous

I was diagnosed with it in my early 50s, about 15 years ago. I had fibroids as well. I was told it was cancer and then that it wasn't - I was more concerned about the result than about the test procedures ! Once my menopause was over, the symptoms fizzled out. Hope this helps, and yours isn't malignant either.

Hi Ladies, I have been having heavy bleeding since after my cesarian which was in May 18. I saw private consultant who did hyteroscopy and found placental tissue leftovers from cesarian. He sent that over for histology exam and said it could be hyperplasia. I am so very worried since then. I am going to see consultant next Thursday but can’t stop worrying about histology results. Has anyone been through this. I will really appreciate a reply.
