anyone had antibiotics for a partially impacted wisdom tooth whilst pregnant? or an extraction? have horrendous pain which the dentist has tried to control with mouthwashed and paracetamol but its worse . the emergency dentist (whom i saw) said to see my dentist today if it was worse for antibiotics, but she thought best to avoid. i am seeing him today and wondered if anyone else had experience of antibiotics during pregnancy. i wish they would just take the bloody thing out! oooeeewwwww

I had antibiotics during pregnancy. The are some very safe antibiotics that can be used during preg. Also codiene on its own or as part of co-codamol is also safe to use during all of your pregnancy.

know no one's about on here, but wanted to say they've taken a tooth out! not THE one that is causing trouble but the wisdom tooth above! to stop it biting down on the other as its easier to take out a top one than a bottom. whatever. i'm in no pain now and can finally eat!
