Lump in armpit

I've had a lump in my armpit for a few months. Ignored it ad thought it might be due to a virus or infection. It doesn't hurt. Anyone had one that's been there for a while?

NHS advice is always to get lumps checked by a doctor. Please get an appointment. The chances are that is it most likely to be harmless, but you need the reassurance that it isn't a symptom of something that needs treatment. Don't leave it any longer.

I have a Pea sized hard lump just outside of my armpit under my arm . Its painless.. I did get it checked by my gp. He said it was a cyst.
