Scan tomorrow - scared

I've had lower summer pain, terrible pressure on my bladder and bowel for 9 months or so. I take the pill back to back so not sure what periods are like.
I'm really struggling every day with bladder feeling full all the time. I'm swollen looking and have sore boobs too.

Any ideas? Have an internal scan tomorrow.

why are you taking the pill with no break? The hormones sound a possible cause of your sore boobs and bloating.

GP said this was best and no reasons to have periods??

Firstly, don't be scared - it could be any number of things and no one on here can tell you. If it's a trans-vaginal ultrasound they might well tell you there are then if they see anything which might be causing the problem.

Have you had any bloods done? If not this could be a possible next step or a CT if they want a wider look.

Don't worry about the scan itself, I'd rather have an internal than normal ultrasound anyday - esp if you're struggling with bladder already.

There is 'no reason' to have periods- the Pill was invented with a break so women felt 'reassured' they were having a cycle.
But if you are intolerant to the progestogen part especially this can aggravate the bladder and cause the PMT type bloating and sore boobs women not on the Pill get.
TBH I'd experiment with having a break and see how you feel if the scan shows up nothing. Or change to a different type of pill.
Or look into IBS if you have problems that tie in with that.

I've been taking the pill for 20 years with no problems. My periods are too painful so I have always missed them for around 3 months at a time mostly.
Little - no specific bloods as yet. It's an internal scan like you say. Thank you for the reassurance. The pressure is so uncormfortable and so are consistent trips for a pee!
