. . . I think I have tonsilitis or something similar.

Feels like I'm swallowing razor blades. Feel sick. Feel shivery.

Waiting for the out-of-hours doctor service to ring me back - really hoping they let me see a doctor and have antibiotics.

Don't think I can last till Monday.

Hope you feel better soon.

Glad you've got the antibiotics. Sorry you feel poorly, but hopefully you'll recover really quickly now.
Will you be able to get some rest today?

tribpot · 16/12/2006 11:55

Glad you managed to get some help from the out-of-hours doctor, I had a lesser version of this sore throat in the week and it was grim

Best thing I found was a hot drink, not too hot but quite warm. Lemon and ginger tea good.

Hope you're feeling better soon.

Thanks for the sympathy.

Humphrey - have decided to do as little as possible - Christmas shopping / wrapping presents / ironing / housework can all wait until I'm better!!!!

DH has been an angel this morning - has cleaned the kitchen and is now making lunch for him and the DCs.

Am going to my MIL's later to help babysit my nephews, so won't be able to do anything much until tomorrow evening now.

I have had tonsillitis twice this year. You have my sympathies, its foul. I got a really strong throat spray from Chemist which helped while I waited for the Antibiotics to kick in. Sorry cant remember the name but its stronger than Chloraseptic. Get well soon..
