Insomnia!!!!!!!!

It's the third time this week. It's been really bad for the past 6 months. I've had Zopiclone - they were great but now I'm off them it's as bad as before. I've tried valerian, kalms herbal stuff. It's making me feel like death warmed up I can't function properly in the day time I feel nauseous headachey
What can I do?????

I have the same problem.Been awake since 3am.Sometimes I find eating a banana helps as they have something in them that aids sleep.Apart from that I have no answers.Feeling tired all the time is terrible.I am going to try and exercise much more in the daytime to see if this makes a difference.

Hi The secretfleece. It horrible isn't it. I've been awake since about 2 this morning, then annoyingly I doze off about 7. If I'm worried or stressed about something I can't sleep. Certain foods like Chinese takeaway or rich desserts can set it off and alcohol too. Other times there doesn't seem to be an obvious reason. I went to my doctor and he gave me Zopiclone pills and I've finished them 2 weeks ago I'm sure it's worse now.
I agree a out more exercise, I'm going to try and get out on my bike more

I'm looking on Amazon to see if there's any good self help books for insomnia.
