Asbestos - have I been really stupid

We have asbestos guttering on our house. Called a company to ask about removing it and they suggested a firm that would do the the whole job and call them to remove it when taken down. Company started work and have assured me that haven't broken any and have been careful how they have taken it down. But stupidly as I have been distracted with family crisis I didn't shut windows. What is the likely hood that fibres are in the house. It is white asbestos.

Chances = 0 if they didn't break it. Chances barely above zero even if they did break it.

if the concrete hasn't broken then it is highly unlikely that fibres have been released.

Considering how damp it is at the moment even less.

Thank you for your quick replies. Have really bad anxiety at the moment so was feeling really awful. Closed windows and will try and forget about it!

If it hasn't broken there won't be any asbestos released. If it's a specialist firm, if they had any concerns I'm sure they would have asked you to close the windows.

We all live with a background low level of asbestos, well in cities.

It's generally prolonged regular exposure that you have to worry about, hence, rather bizarrely, teachers being the 2nd largest group by employment to get asbestos-related diseases. They tended to pierce asbestos walls/notice boards, work with kids knocking asbestos walls or pipework every single day for decades.

I however cannot understand why any asbestos is still in schools, let alone in 70% of them.
