Trip phasic pill

Just wondering if anyone here - patient or doctor has experience of these? I'm running out of options with other types of pill and mirena just didn't suit me. A GP registrar mentioned it before referring me to a colleague but I got sent down the normal combination pill route again.

3 types of pill in the pack.

I used this type a long time ago when I took the pill- Trinordiol now discontinued.

It suited me very well as the first type I took gave me mild acne, never having had spots before.

It's still the combined pill, but the level of hormones in the 3 types is slightly different (balance of oestrogen and progestogens) so that they mimic a natural cycle more. The idea is this will result in fewer side effects.

Thanks for responding. Yes, I meant triphasic. Autocorrect on my phone! I think there are versions such as Qlaira and Logynon now, but was generally curious as to what people's experiences were. I'd imagine reluctance to prescribe could be there because of prescribing costs and the fact that there are risks with higher oestrogen levels in the pills? As I don't tolerate other combines or POP, I thought I should rule this out before considering irreversible solutions.
