nose bleeds

My son age 10 has had 3 today.

He has had tonnes of them, in the past and has had his nose cauterised twice. It works for a while then starts again after a few months. There's no underlying conditions he just has a rogue nose.

Anyway, 3 in one day and 2 of them heavy seems a bit much. I don't know if I should go to a&e if he gets another or just wait until tomorrow to ask gp to refer him for another cauterising. It does stop after 30 mins ish.

Anyone with experience of this?

what does dr say cd be the cause?

For stopping bleeds I've heard of two US products, BleedCEASE is one (calcium alginate-based) as is Avastin. I've not used either, though. Have a look at the HHT support website (cureHHT.org), as even though he probably doesn't have HHT it has tips re; nosebleeds.

Is there an obvious trigger? Dry air, allergens, etc?
