Yasmin to Lucette

I have just received a letter from my doctor stating to save money they are changing all Yasmin prescriptions to Lucette and that it's exactly the same.

I really like being on Yasmin. I have cystic ovaries and insulin resistance. Before Yasmin I was on microgynon and my weight shot up. I'm at a comfortable weight, could lose half a stone but that's life, I really don't want to take something new which will result in weight gain, PMT, arsey moods, spots etc like I've had microgynon.
Has anyone else been made to switch?
Thanks

My dd was switched without problem. It really is exactly the same - just a different name.

Where I am we have never been allowed to prescribe Yasmin. Too expensive. We have to make £2million of savings in our area again this year.

Thanks, that's reassured me :)
