headaches on the mirena coil

I had a mirena coil fitted 2 years ago. I've been seeing a homeopath for a few months who thinks that the bad headaches that i get are due to the hormones in the coil. I went to the familly planning clinic to have my coil removed but the dr said the headaches were not due to the coil. I don't know what to do. I can't cope with headcahes that last for up to 10 days a month. any ideas??

I've had the odd headache while having one but nothing on that scale. What else does gp suggest may cause it ?

well, as my blood pressure was high at the time she suggested that might be it, but I attribute the high bp to the Dr not doing what I wanted her to do as my BP had dropped the following day. I also take antidepressants which might also be a cause. BUt its very difficult to find any evidence to support what my homeopath says about the effect of artificial hormones on our bodies.
