I had one today, not a needle biopsy but with a gun-like thing. Has anyone else had one?

StrawberrySnowflakes · 11/12/2006 22:24

i had the needle but was 'warned' about the other one..how are you?.x

Carmenere · 11/12/2006 22:27

Oh I'm fine really, I feel a bit odd from the local anstethetic and I'm a bit sore as it is wearing off now, but the doc said she thought it was just a bit of necrosised(dead) fat(charming no?). I just want them to say that it is definitely nothing and they are being very thorough and have yet to say it is nothing. But I really do think it is nothing.

good - mine was "nothing" too - the lump is still there though

iota · 11/12/2006 22:29

did you have a mammogram ? - I did and that was fine as well

Carmenere · 11/12/2006 22:31

Yep I had a mammogram and ultra sound about 3 months ago but because the lump has not dissappeared they wanted to biopsy it.

That's good - I'm sure you'll be fine

whatamess · 11/12/2006 22:40

Me too and it was nothing - if they say they think it isn't that's probably the case

Good luck!

Carmenere · 11/12/2006 22:40

Me, I had the gun thingy, many moons ago now, was only 19. Even worse the bloody gun didn't work and they had to do it twice.

Hello! I had a needle biopsy this time last year before I knew I was pg. The result was inconclusive - they said that it would be either a clear positive, a clear negative or a clear inconclusive - great! I had a mamogram and lots of scans. They don't tell you, do they, how much they're going to squash your tits? Ouch! They haven't done the big biopsy yet on me. Hope you're ok and it's only the tests that are uncomfortable.
