Hi, new to this so bear with me. Went to docs last night for more pills who has told me NO WAY can I have anymore .... high blood pressure/smoker/over 35 etc. I am on a high dose pill (50mg) because otherwise I CONSTANTLY spot. She suggests Mirena best for me as when not on the pill I have very heavy (but regular) periods since birth of baby 2 yrs ago. I see that this coil contains low doses of hormone but when I have been on 30 mg doses of the pill before I spot all the time. I can't bear it. I'd hate to go thru all the turmoil of having it fitted only to find i bleed all the time like i do on low dose pills. Anyone else had this problem with pills and, if so, how has it been on Mirena ?? Thank you x

I am soooo unhappy. I had a Mirena Coil fitted six months ago because of bad PMS and prolonged painful and heavy bleeding - the PMS was causing relationship problems although I am told this is now much better. The bleeding is lasting for three weeks and the one week I am not I feel fat and spotty and tired which doesnt make me feel like night time fun!! Any ideas?? How long should I give it or should I get it taken out? Any thoughts?

Hi, i had the mirena coil fitted 2 yrs ago and am hoping to have it removed in the next few months to try for baby mumber 2!
How long have other peeps taken to fall pregnant after having it removed? Is there a certain time for the hornmones to come out of your system?
Any advice is great! x
