Mine have been longer and heavier since having ds. If you're worried, perhaps go and see your gp of hv?

I bled off and on for six weeks' after having ds, but he was my third baby. Is there a smell (sorry)? It isn't that unusual, but there is a possibility of infection. Go to your GP, they can have a look and do some swabs if they think it necessary and if there is a problem you just get a course of antibiotics.

Yeah think i will contact my gp, don't want to look silly, i'm not really sure what your periods are usually like after having a baby, i gave birth 12 weeks ago, its not a really heavy period but it's lasting a while.

They'll be used to it. It's highly unlikely that you have an infection but they can be nasty so best to check. Hope all goes well and congrats on the new arrival!

im just getting back into the swing of it after having two very close together. it is a total nightmare! i didnt have a period between children so have not had one for 22months! i cant even remember how long/when they should be! but i do know they hurt more now...
i'm sure you will get the answers you need here.
otherwise, go to the doc, they wont think you're silly. or ask to see the nurse, she will set you straight.
