The end of DDs tongue is white

Just noticed this - she is 7m. Looks strange - kind of dead (as in no blood supply) - it also doesn't feel as soft and fleshy as the rest of the tongue. I have vague recollections of it looking red a few weeks ago. (FF BTW so I don't think its thrush)

Could she have bitten it? Is it scar tissue? Could it be a Tumour of some sort?

Any ideas?

Sorry I disappeared PIL arrived.

Nothing on NHS website. After a bit of googling and searching MN archives there is a hint that the coldsore virus can manifest itself on the tongue before it infects the lips & I have a coldsore at the moment. I hope this isn't what it is - I thought I was being careful not to infect her.

Will see GP on Monday if it is still there.
