My aunt keeps having violent coughing fits, particularly when laying down in bed. She coughs up thick fluid. Uncle says it sounds like 'gurgling in her chest'.
Her GP says her chest sounds clear. He sent her for a chest Xray - all clear. He put her on a course of antibiotics - no difference. She's still have the coughing/choking files but 'doesn't want to bother the doctor again'
What to do?
