Never-ending cough and sore throat

DD (8.5 months) has now had a sore throat and cough for more than 8 weeks and is finding feeding ever more difficult. She also tends to cough heavily for an hour or two after putting her down at night.

The GP has just said there's nothing to help and we just have to wait for her to improve. Is this ever going to happen. Is there nothing we can do to help?

go back to your GP - i think that a course of antibiotics may be needed. 8 weeks is a long time to be coughing.
