Homeopathic remedies

How do you get a 14 month old to take a homeopathic pill under their tongue? Also I'm new to these remedies but am very interested in them for obvious reasons. What can I use for fever and pain in toddlers?

the homeopath i used to visit suggested crushing the pill between two plastic (not metal) spoons and feeding it to them.

for mild fever/pain chamomilla is widely used (and i found quite effective) but it may be worth visiting a practicitioner for a constitutional remedy and more advice.

I asked for the drops rather than tablets for my dd (2 years old) and I just add them to a small amount of water.

According to my book it depends on the type of pain. Agree about crushing the pills, although I never heard about using plastic ones. When DS was a baby the homeopath used to provide the remedy in liquid form.

I used to dissolve the pills in a drop of water on a teaspoon for DS.

re the spoons, metal can apparently taint the remedy.

i think helios do a good basic kit for the family with a mini materia medica (sp?). their childbirth one is very good.
