Sore tongue in a 4 yo

dd's been complainign the tip of her tongue is sore when she eats certain things for the last couple of days. She hasn't got a temp but does have a bit of a cough. any ideas? do I take her to see dr or dentist if it doesn't improve...?

Have you looked at her tongue? Doe sit have any whiteness/ulcers on it?

can't see anything unusual in her mouth/on her tongue.

trip to dentist to check teeth?

It's always a good idea to get teeth checked, and they can check her tongue too.
