INR blood test has come back too low. he has just gone to get jabbed. increased warfarin. he will need daily jabbing i think untill monday.

he will be fragmin(sp?) untill monday i think. which isw done via injection. its a PITA (and tum!!)

he is back. he has been shown how to do the injections, and is now having to do them twice a day by himself. anti coag clinc arent ahppy with GP, they called in weeks ago to make sure there were stocks in of the jab in case this happened, and it hasnt been done. so he has one for tomorrow and thats it, trying to get more for tomorrow evening through to monday morning.

doesnt need daily INR, tht will be done twice weekly as usual. they have increased warfain by 0.5mg.

Oh I'm sorry to hear that - does it affect his chances if a donor was available? I've lost track of where he is on the list as it were?

this will cause problems for his lVAD, if the blood is too thick it can lead to clots in the pump. which isnt good.

having ti too thick isnt so bad for transplant, it its too thin it wont clot and he would haemorage, so too thick is better than too thin i guess.
