Just wondering if there are any magic solutions to prevent / limit scarring on skin? Is it Vitamin E cream? Thanks in advance

I hear bio-oil is very good, though haven't personally used it as I don't scar much (don't even have pregnancy stretch marks)

I don't have any stretch marks either but I scar badly. I'm not sure if there is a positive correlation between the two.

OP - What stage is the wound in?

Bathsheba3 · 01/11/2015 10:58

Thanks MrsL. Will investigate. Day 3 today Cote. I scratched myself. Not too deep, but took top layer off. Beginning to scab. Self inflicted. Regrettably stupidly not fully hidden under clothing. Sad.

Take a 50mg zinc tablet every day and look to buy a silicone gel cream such as Dermatix to apply to the wound.

I really wouldn't worry about a scratch. All part of life. I thought you meant a cut that needed stitching or surgery

Don't ever do gardening if worried about scratches. I literally look like I've been dragged through a thorn bush. They go in a few weeks.

Rosehip oil is good

PS I have quite a few scars from sport, operations. All part of life. I don't think I am ever cut free.

Vitamin E oil is better than cream.
