Fucking bastard cold sore appeared overnight

I loathe the bastards. Haven't had one for three years, last time I was in my third trimester of my sons pregnancy and this time I am 24 weeks and I've woken up with a small blister on my bottom lip.

I will obviously quarantine myself from kidding family members, no towel sharing, constant hand washing. I've smothered my bottom lip.with Zovirax which generally does nothing for me ever. Anything else anyone wants to recommend whole the shops are open today?

I have been using the Compeed patches - not sure about the impact on recovery time but I like the fact that they put a barrier over the sore.

I have used patches before but found they didn't stick very well. I know they came in a purple packet. I'll do a google search and see if they are the same thing. I agree though that covering it is a great idea. I don't mind them once the blister has burst and they've dried up. It's this stage where you are having to be so careful about spread and contamination that screws with my head.

have you tried salt water. I have them all the time only thing what works for me.
