Recurring headaches

The last few weeks I have been suffering with recurring headaches. Bad ones. Feels like immense pressure as if my brain is trying to push it' way out of my skull. Bright lights make it worse. And recently when I feel the pushing pain in my head, I feel a sharp stab either in my neck, or my lower back.
I'm taking over the counter painkillers, but they only do so much.
Could this be migraines? Or a trapped nerve maybe??
I don't want to waste a GP appointment if they are just going to tell me to take paracetamol Hmm

please go to the hospital and wait to be checked. At least you'll be in the right place if it gets worse.
