DD (22weeks) has a cold and one of her eyes is watery and sticky. Dont want to rush to doctors unnecessarily. Could it be conjunctivitus or prob just a consequence of the cold?

DS1 had this a number of times and it wasn't conjuntivitis. I think if it is the goo is likely to be very green and the eye becomes bloodshot, you'd also find it filled up with goo after cleaning extremly quickly. If it does this then take her to the docs but if it doesn't sound that bad then just keep wiping it whenever it fills up with cool boiled water on a cotton wool ball.

hth and she gets better soon

Thanks guys. That really helps and the breast milk thing is genius. I do breast feed so will give it a go. Does not sound like it is conjunctivitus from what you have said.
