How to recover

I have been very ill but it seems as though I am getting better. However, I just don't know where to start. Having been ill for so long I don't know how much I should do in a day or what would help my recovery. Just wondered if anyone had been through anything similar and what helped. Could anyone recommend any books around the subject.

It is hard to suggest anything without knowing what you are able to do. How mobile are you? Can you leave the house?

I have been off work for several months. Days seem pointless and it is very frustrating. I have been stuck in the house and initially couldn't concentrate very well on anything complex. Things I have done includereading children's books, listening to lots of podcasts recommended by friends, and once I had a bit of energy, cooking and baking. That has been good cos it involves a bit of walking about but not too much and you feel you have achieved something.

A friend recommended going out for two short walks a day rather than one longer one and that has worked for me.

In general, try and do something each day that you actually enjoy and try not to set yourself unrealistic targets, although probably everyone does this.
