Do Kalms Tablets Work?

My 4yo son is due to have surgery in 4wks time & I am very anxious already!
I have never used Kalms before but thought I,d buy a box to try them. Would just like to know if anyone has tried these & if so, did they work? Also when should I start taking them, now?, the week before my son goes into hospital?..... Any thoughts/advice would be much appreciated, thank you.

Can't vouch for Kalms, but Bach's Rescue Remedy has soothed my anxiety on many an occasion. I have the one in the little dropper bottle and take it when I feel myself clenching. It makes me feel better before I've even realised.

don't work for me though

Hi sorry to hear about your son wishing him a speedy recovery. I have used calms in the past (during a very stressful period of my life) as a short term remedy they are very good. I would start taking them now so they can build up in your system. Although you can take them as an as and when remedy. I also used a spray called rescue remedy which acts almost instantly when you have those fleeting moments when you think you can't cope any more. However I wouldn't recommend you use either of these things over a sustained period of time.

Thank you so much to everyone for your much needed advice & support. Have really just bought these as in 4wks time I know I,m going to need something to take the edge off. A temp solution just to get me through what will be a tough few weeks. Might also have to look into Bachs. Thanks again.

I would try them out before you actually need them. They gave me a blinding headache
