This morning ds, 14mo, fell onto the ridge of our not very clean shower tray.

He seems fine now but has quite a nasty little cut on his chin.

Do I need to do anything with it - other than give it a clean.

Thanks M

Does the split stay closed? if it gapes open - may be worth popping to a & e for a stitch or two.

It looks closed over. The edges are a bit rough so I assume it should heal ok.

I'm not a nurse so don't know but if it were my child and it wasn't gaping - I'd just keep it clean and maybe apply something like sudocrem.

They tend to use steristrips at A & E and you can buy those at a decent chemist shop (always handy to have in first aid kit).

Keep clean and use a steristrip or 2 if the wound starts to gape.
