I have been away and not seen DH until he left for work this morning. When he mentioned, quite unconcerned that he spoke to a pharmacist today about problems he's been having with his calfs these past few days. She advised him that it sounded like DVT and he should get it checked out straight away!! Then off he toddles to work. Not knowing much about thrombosis I immediately hit Google to learn that when she said 'straight away' she meant 'straight away' like go to docs or a&e immediately! So obviously me freaking right out tried to get gold of him for 2 hours to get him to come home so we can go to urgent care like NOW. He insists he wants to wait to see how he is when he finishes work. Grrrr men! Not sure what I'm after with this post as I will make him go as soon as I can reach him! Just some support I guess ??

He does need to go to a&e, theres a blood test they can do that will tell them whether his body is trying to fight a big clot or not.
They can move into your lungs if they dislodge so make sure he doesnt get away with saying "its not bothering me that much / I can cope", its easy to treat but can be fatal if its not treated.

It could also just be a calf cramp! The blood test will say for sure one way or the other.

What Stormtreader said. I've had a DVT which produced clots that travelled to my lungs - I was nearly a goner. It really isn't anything to mess about with.
