ovarian cysts

Has anyone had or has an ovarian cyst. I've recently been diagnosed and want to know a bit more on what everyone's symptoms were and how it effects them. I'm a little bit apprehensive as I'm going for my opp soon I'm just worried they will find something else as I am also experiencing all the symptoms of ovarian cancer
My cyst is growing and right now they in the scan irbid the size of a grapefruit and getting bigger!
Pls let me know if your experiences and symptoms also.

I have had an Ovarian Cyst. My symptoms were, agonising pain in both the right hand side of my pelvic area and the middle of my stomach. It was unbearable and came in waves. Until I collapsed.

I was operated on successfully and my appendix was also removed.

I had the operation 52 years ago. I have a neat bikini scar from one hip to the other. Otherwise, I still ovulated every month and had lots of children successfully.
So here we are 52 years later. Think how much Surgery has improved since then! You will absolutely fine and should make a full recovery.

Hi I've had an ovarian cyst, the size of a golf ball, symptoms were bloating, awful pain and irregular periods. Mine was left and shrank when I became pregnant, but have had the symptoms a few times since but never caught it on scans so I think they come and go. I had a blood test to rule out cancer have you had a blood test? Good that you are getting an op.
