Legs feeling heavy, weird muscles, feels like I'm being squashed

Sorry about my thread title, it's really hard to explain.

I have been going to the gym 3 or 4 times a week and doing exercise at home ( gentle exercise ), before I started going to the gym I was pretty lazy and unfit.

Anyway, when I eventually get to lie on the sofa in the evenings I am getting this weird feeling in my legs and arms, almost like something heavy is on top of new, like I can't move or my arms and legs are heavy. Is it just due to using new muscles? Or something else? It's a very weird feeling.

Not taking statins are you ?

Nevergoingtolearn · 07/10/2015 17:12

Wim not taking satins, I do have a protein shake most days ( instead of lunch ) but I don't take any diet pills or supplements.

Hmm what are you eating?
I've done a low carb diet before now with protein shakes twice day and felt as you describe. Just no energy whatsoever.

Think it worked out at a 1000 calories a day. I didn't keep it up as felt too rotten and have learnt my lesson.

Could you be anaemic?

Nevergoingtolearn · 07/10/2015 18:29

I have cut out carbs but still eating well, I eat a lot of fruit, veg and meat.
I don't think Im anaemic, I don't feel that run down and still have energy, just this weird feeling when I do eventually lie down.

My money's on the lack of carbs. That's how I felt after exercising and low carb diet.
