According to DS(20) who is not very good at remebering what dr said he is not producing enough adrenaline. As well as the 24 hour urine collection he is is going to have an ACTH(?) test and see the endocrinologist
Bit worried as DS has come back after the week at uni and is absolutely EXHAUSTED even though he says he has slept well.Just walking to uni gives him heat hives and makes him feel faint and unwell.

good he's getting tested and taken seriously. In the meantime high dose vit c in powder form mixed in small 1/2 a teaspoonful in glasses of water to drink thru out the day will help him to feel better. Also vit d and magnesium citrate and multi b vits.

That sounds mire like it. My guess is that they are checking for Addison's Disease.

Don't pani .mit sounds like all the right things are being done.

This is good - I tried to post again on your last thread about checking for Addison's but it wasn't working. It's cortisol response. They checked me as I lost a lot of muscle. But I just do with low thyroid. I don't know what my levels were, maybe they're a bit low anyway but the response was that my cortisol doubled so in me it was all thyroid plus low ferritin and vit d.

Despite its bad press cortisol is really important. It's possible that the system that triggers extra cortisol is not working in him or there could be something else going on pituitary wise (hence slightly off thyroid hormones)

Either way excellent that an endo is investigating.

I feel your son should be resting as much as possible; could he get a sick note from the Dr while he waits?
