I have partially errupted wisdom teeth on the bottom and none on top. Apparently they are pretty badly impacted and in my early 20s I was told removing them would be fairly major. That was my last visit to the dentist for 10 years.
Anyway, I'm much better these days and have a great dentist I see regularly. She hasn't mentioned anything about them other than when they do an inventory at a check up. One of the partially errupted ones needed filling a few years ago as I couldn't clean it properly so it decayed. Now the other partially errupted one feels as if something is stuck in it and it feels lumpy. I can feel ridges in my gum too. It's a little sore and really does feel like I'm teething!
I'm worried it'll decay like the other or cause the teeth around it to decay (yes I Googled). I'm not due a check up until Feb. Is it worth seeing how I go and mention it then, or go sooner?
I'm nervous about either as my old dentist seemed to delight in how traumatic their removal would be. Or can they just 'rumble' and go back in again?!
