Medised - has anyone else's little one had a bad reaction to it?

I tried Medised, for the first time, last night as DD (2.11) has been keeping herself awake coughing for the last few nights and i though it might help her get a decent sleep.
She kept waking up and was very drowsy, very upset, crying, screaming and sweating. Once the medised had worn off after about 5 hours, she was back to her usual self, and slept normally until 7am. Has anyone else had this reaction? It was as if she was having nightmares.

We had a similar reaction from Tixylix and I so think actually too much Medised has this effect on my DS. As a result we stick with Calpol and Neurofen if things are really bad

Never tried medised, but I can't take a certain brand of cold and flu medicine, makes me go breatheless and lightheaded. So it is quite possible it was the medicine she took a reaction to.

YES!!!
we gave it to our DS and it was HORRIBLE!
screaming and eventually projectile vomiting.
not a good night.

I'm going to flush it down the toilet! I took nightnurse once and had a terrible time, unable to wake up properly and having nightmares. I wonder if it has the same active ingredient.
