I have a circular patch of itchy pink skin on my temple. I have tried betnovate as i have eczema but its not improving. I am wondering if its a fungal infection and if I could try nizarol shampoo that I have been prescribed in the past. If it does't improve I will go to GP but just wondered if ok to try and if so how often please.

Why don't you shown it to a pharmacist (the dispensing one, not the sales assistant) -they're good at things like that.

I have been prescribed this to use all over from time to time, you'll be ok using it for your face.

I wash my face with Nizoral shampoo about once a week. I was prescribed it years ago for a manky eczema / fungal infection thing on my scalp, and my GP recommended I continue using it occasionally to stop it from coming back. I get eczema on my face which I'm convinced also gets irritated by fungal spores, so I decided to treat it at the same time as I do my hair ! It doesn't seem to do me any harm ...

You can buy anti fungal cream over the counter. Might help until you can see the doctor.
